In addition to shocking your dog, these collars can actually cause burns, something we have observed on dogs wearing these devices.Ĭurrently, there are three types of shock collars in use 1) underground/non-visible fence containment collars, 2) remote training collars, and 3) anti-bark collars. Unfortunately, it is impossible to confirm voltages because manufacturers are very secretive about the amount of voltage their systems apply. Some collars may even operate at higher voltages.
